A safe home for children who have lost everything
The Cox's Bazar region in the southeast of Bangladesh is one of the poorest areas of the country. Cyclones, floods and grinding poverty hit people there year after year, and in the Rohingya refugee camps countless children have lost their parents. Many of them grow up without protection, work instead of going to school or are left entirely on their own.
It is for these children that we are opening an orphanage in Bangladesh. A place where they receive not just a roof over their heads, but a real home: with warm meals, a bed of their own, schooling and people who are there for them. Children who experience safety and care can be children again. And they get the chance to stand on their own two feet later in life.
What your contribution makes possible
- Regular meals and a safe place to sleep
- Schooling and support with learning
- Basic medical care
- Care from people who look after the children with heart
Your donation goes towards building and running the orphanage. Whether you give once or support the project regularly: you help ensure that children without parents do not lose their future as well.
A Sadaqa Jariya that keeps on giving
The Prophet Muhammad, peace be upon him, said: «I and the one who cares for an orphan will be together in Paradise like this», and he held up his index and middle fingers together (Sahih al-Bukhari). Caring for orphans is among the greatest good deeds in Islam. An orphanage is a Sadaqa Jariya: a donation that keeps doing good for years, as long as children find a home there.
Give a child in Bangladesh safety, education and hope. May Allah accept your donation and reward you many times over.
