Zakat al-Fitris a religious obligation for every Muslim who is financially able. It is paid by the end of the month of Ramadan and serves thepurification of fastingas well as the support of the needy.
For the year2026theZakat al-Fitr is CHF 20.– per person.
The donation must bemade before the Eid prayerto fulfill the obligation.
The distribution of the collectedZakat al-Fitr will take place during and after Eid al-Fitr.
Your donation will betransferred 1:1 as cashandwithout deductions (currency losses excluded)tozakat-eligible needy.
The staggered distribution is for organizational reasons and hasno impact on the validity of the donation.
Principles of distribution:
- Donation by donors: before Eid
- Distribution by organization: during and after Eid
- Transfer: 1:1 as cash donation
- Recipients: exclusively zakat-eligible
